A Special Newborn Session: Welcoming Sweet Madilyn & Celebrating Big Sister Melanie

There is something incredibly special about welcoming a new baby into the family, and it becomes even more meaningful when I have the opportunity to celebrate an older sibling at the same time. This beautiful studio session was filled with love, smiles, and unforgettable moments as we welcomed one-month-old Madilyn and celebrated her big sister, Melanie, turning four.
What made this session even more special? Madilyn's family traveled all the way from Michigan to my studio in Berea, Ohio for their portraits. It is such an incredible compliment when families choose to travel so I can document these precious milestones, and I am truly honored every time.
Sweet Madilyn's Newborn Portraits
Although Madilyn was already one month old, she was an absolute dream during her newborn session. She settled beautifully for her portraits, giving us the sweetest sleepy expressions and even a tiny smile that melted everyone's hearts. Wrapped in a soft lavender wrap with a delicate floral bow, she looked absolutely precious.
One of my favorite things about newborn photography is preserving all of the tiny details that change so quickly—those chubby cheeks, tiny lips, soft little fingers, and peaceful expressions. These moments pass in the blink of an eye, and I'm so thankful her family chose to preserve them forever.
Celebrating Big Sister Melanie
This visit wasn't just about welcoming a new baby—it was also time to celebrate Melanie's 4-year milestone!
Melanie was an absolute sweetheart and couldn't have been more excited to hold her new baby sister. Watching her gently cuddle Madilyn and beam with pride made for some of the most heartwarming images from the day.
Their sibling portraits are sure to become treasured family keepsakes as they grow together.
We also captured beautiful milestone portraits of Melanie, highlighting her bright personality and the excitement of being a big sister. Four years old is such a fun age full of curiosity, imagination, and genuine smiles, and she made every photo effortless.
