For Baizen’s first birthday portraits, we created a beautiful purple, lavender, blush, white, and gold color palette that gave her session an elegant princess feel. From the delicate floral details to the gorgeous balloon arrangement, every part of her setup came together beautifully.
One of my favorite details was Baizen’s stunning custom crown from Love Crush Crowns, a talented local artist. The crown was the perfect finishing touch for her first birthday portraits and complemented her beautiful floral outfit so perfectly. I love incorporating special handmade pieces like this into my cake smash sessions because they add such a unique and personalized element to the images.
And then it was time for the cake smash!
Baizen looked absolutely adorable in her little lavender dress as she explored her birthday cake. Her sweet expressions, curious personality, and those tiny toes made this session so much fun to photograph. The purple and gold cake coordinated perfectly with the backdrop and balloon display, creating a gorgeous first birthday setup.
I especially love how these images capture both sides of her first birthday session—the beautiful milestone portraits and the playful, messy fun of discovering that birthday cake!
