Four Weeks New: A Sweet Newborn Session in Cleveland, Ohio
There is something so special about photographing a brand-new baby, and this sweet little girl was no exception. At 4 weeks old, she came into the Rachel Good Photography studio for her newborn session, and we captured so many beautiful details of this precious stage.
While many families assume newborn photography has to take place within the first two weeks, that isn't always the case. Every baby is different, and I love creating beautiful portraits for families even when their little one is a few weeks old.
Soft, Sweet & Beautifully Pink
For one of her setups, we created a soft and feminine scene filled with pink florals, delicate textures and a beautiful oversized pink bow. Her peaceful expression and tiny features made this setup absolutely perfect for her.

These are the little details that make newborn photography so meaningful—the tiny lips, sweet cheeks, wisps of hair and those little sleepy expressions that change so quickly.
A Little Butterfly
For her second setup, we went in a completely different direction with a gorgeous blue and pink butterfly theme. Surrounded by colorful wings and soft artistic details, she looked like she had drifted off into her own little magical garden.

I love giving my newborn clients variety during their session. We can incorporate soft, classic portraits along with something more colorful and creative that reflects the family's personality.

Newborn Photography at 4 Weeks
One of the questions I often receive is whether a baby is "too old" for newborn photos. The answer is not necessarily!
Although younger newborns often tend to be sleepier and curlier, beautiful images can absolutely be created at 3, 4 or even more weeks old. Every baby has their own temperament, and I work at their pace to create safe, beautiful portraits.
This little girl was a perfect example of how gorgeous a newborn session can be at 4 weeks old. 💕
If you're expecting a baby or have recently welcomed your little one, I'd love to create portraits that preserve these fleeting first weeks for you.
