Olivia’s 6-Month Milestone Session | First Year of Life

There is something so incredibly special about the 6-month milestone. It’s that in-between stage where babies are full of personality, curious about the world around them, and just starting to show us who they are becoming. Sweet Olivia’s session was the perfect reminder of why I love documenting my First Year of Life clients from beginning to beyond.

From the moment Olivia was placed in front of the camera, she was all smiles and bright, sparkling eyes. At six months old, babies are often at their happiest—they’re engaging, expressive, and full of those heart-melting little expressions that parents wish they could freeze in time. Olivia made my job easy with her joyful spirit and gentle curiosity, taking everything in while giving us the sweetest little smiles in return.

Dressed in a soft, delicate outfit with a perfectly placed bow, Olivia’s look was timeless and simple—allowing all the focus to stay on her beautiful features and growing personality. These are the details that change so quickly: the chubby cheeks, the tiny fingers, the way they look at you with complete wonder. This stage passes in the blink of an eye, which is why capturing it is so important.

One of my favorite parts of offering the First Year of Life collection is getting to watch these babies grow over time. From their newborn session to milestones like this 6-month session, and eventually their first birthday, it’s such an honor to be trusted with documenting these fleeting moments for families. Seeing how much Olivia has grown already is just the beginning—and I can’t wait to see who she becomes.
