Sunset Smiles with the Klosterman Family | Huntington Beach, Bay Village

There’s something truly magical about photographing families at the beach—especially when the golden hour light perfectly matches the warmth of their connection. The Klosterman family session at Huntington Beach in Bay Village was everything I love about lifestyle photography: natural, joyful, and full of love.

From the moment we met at the beach, the Klostermans were all smiles. With the soft sand beneath their feet and Lake Erie as the backdrop, their session unfolded effortlessly. The girls were a delight—each with their own spark, from shy giggles to bold, beachy twirls. The parents' ease and affection set the tone, creating a relaxed vibe that brought out the best in everyone.

One of my favorite moments from the session is captured in the image above: the whole family sitting together on the rocks, the kids nestled between mom and dad, laughter in their eyes. Coordinated in soft pastels and beachy neutrals, they looked perfectly at home by the water—effortlessly stylish without taking away from the authenticity of the moment.

Huntington Beach continues to be one of my favorite locations for family sessions—not just because of the scenic views, but because of how it allows families like the Klostermans to be themselves.
